Episode Rank Resets.

I'm 90% sure that episode rank resets are soft but this friend of mine is trying to argue that it's hard and he's trying justify his placements even though it's on a boosted account. Yikes. I'm relatively sure that it's soft. But for some reason there's not much stuff from riot on this. I remember seeing it. But I'm not sure where riot said it.

If someone can link me an article for this that'd be nice. If I'm wrong then. Give me an article on that bc honestly I'm still not 100% sure on it.

episode rank resets are hard, act resets are soft. Could be wrong but this is what i always thought

I just have never found an article or ask valorant where it said it was hard. And I remember them saying it was a hard reset. I could be wrong here. But I thought it was just a harder reset. Who knows.

It doesn't completely reset your rank. It retains a little rank. And it's based off it.

Anyways I'm gold. But yea usually the rank resets are so soft that u get the same rank.... but usually it's 1 below

Last act I got silver 2 and in this new one I think I lost 4 in a row then won some until I get placement I got Silver 1. I think you are right

Its soft, hard is when everyone gets completly reset or put veeeery close together, just google it

It's a soft reset according to the defintion of what a soft reset is (rank reset but not elo wipe).

It was a pretty rough reset regardless, like many plats being placed in silver? It's an utterly garbage system at the current moment.
