What are the terms of Esports contracts?

If an org signs you through 2022-2024 for 2 million dollars, you'll be receiving (2millionĂ·24) dollars every month for 2 years until the contract is paid out right?

With EG, are they asking for a pay cut under these terms, or has their existing contract already been paid out and EG are seeking to form a new contract with a lower wage than before?

i think orgs can cancel the contract at any point and not pay anything else. if the player wants to move out, then the org gets paid a buyout. so eg can just cancel the contracts and offer new ones with revised salaries

No the org has to pay the buyout themselves to terminate the contract

EG can void the ongoing contracts of their players any time they want

I'm pretty sure most of them have ongoing contracts so the only way they would likely be able to keep their jobs is agreeing to a redraft of their existing contracts or writing a new one.

Ngl it might be the second scummiest thing that an org has done this year other than The Guard.

(also the players would most likely be placed on the bench if they don't agree meaning they're restricted and most likely earning less money or none at all while they're on the bench due to how the clauses for benched players are in contracts.)

I'm guessing most orgs have terms that state they can alter or completely terminate player contracts any time they want under those regulations. Or they have negotiated a contract for the year after expiration which is where the lower fee comes from.
