I think this age restriction rules harms valorant esports, like i get why is like that, but many Kids dream to play and have the skill to do so but they can't, i guess this could also discourage young People to even grind the game and considering Valorant has a large young audience then this rule makes no sense.

What do you guys think?

Local laws prohibit minors from working past a specific time. It could cause a shit show like GC last year.

They also need the visa to move to a completely new country too for like 6months at young age.

Child labour laws exist aswell as laws to do with legal contacts and minors. An age cap of 18 makes perfect sense from a logistical standpoint aswell in terms of getting visas and stuff from what I know it's a fair bit more work (just paperwork wise) than an adult

Past ten, and i think only one match surpass that mark this season in EMEA (KC vs ...) and because of a tech pause.

I would agree they can work around it

I mean it's more paperwork, but thius way you are involving a big community into your game thus making it more appealing to the Young audience.

That’s cause he has played a major event before. Many new kids haven’t. For example Juicy from Bleed is 16 and too young to play.

While kids who are below 18 and are competing needs to a signature from their guardian and some Nocs for the player to compete in VCT

Yes, but they are losing having the HUGE young comunnity that Valorant already has, imagine the new less, cauanzin, alfajer not being able to play cause of paperwork that riot can easily get done either way.

2023 rulebook allowed 16y/o players elegible IF they had participated in prior VCT events, this year the Rulebook doesnt have an exception and everyone must be 18 years old.
