Problem with t2

It's great and all "path to pro" it makes sense, but what doesn't make sense is the teams that field these players that want to go pro. They need to pay like 30k a month for a roster at the minimum for them to bomb out of challengers. So ascension doesn't make sense due to orgs not wanting to pay for teams so challengers would just basically be just be a bunch of free agent teams just chilling and playing for fun. You done goofed leo

what possibly could be an alternative

if orgs aren't able to monetise their processes then maybe they shouldn't enter into the industry
Riot has already been pretty good at responding to the major qualms T2 players/teams have had about the short season times wrecking their revenue base in the offseason

People dont realise that it took CS 2 decades to make a decent tier 2 ecosystem
Riot has been working on it for 3 years
give them some faith itll be fleshed out in due time

no shit you're going to see the best teams play each other more towards the late stages of tournaments what does that have to do with the T2 scene

u mean pre-franchising?

an esports league is not sustainable without having at least some partner teams work with the organisations running the tournaments, obviously Riot was going to employ it cause of how much more streamlined the system is

don't act like teams weren't falling apart in the old system either

Nah CS's t2 is still ass compared to val's. Especially when it comes to other region beside EU,CIS,BR. Val's t2 is not doing good but is a step toward the right direction
