EDG were eager for revenge after PRX eliminated them in Masters: Tokyo but were unable to pull it off this time.

The two-map series saw PRX winning EDG's pick of Fracture 13-7, then their own map pick of Pearl 16-14. On Fracture, ZmjjKK, also known as Kangkang, led his team with 21 kills and an ACS of 300 - higher numbers than anyone on PRX. Despite this, PRX were still able to win the map with members of the team securing several clutches.

Pearl was a very back and forth map, with neither team taking more than two rounds consecutively across the first 17 rounds. Even so, EDG managed to steadily build an 11-6 lead.

PRX then changed the course of the map and the match with a six-round run. Although EDG managed to force overtime by winning the final round of regulation, the momentum was firmly in PRX's hands by then. f0rsaken closed out a dominant map by killing four in round 30 to give his team the 16-14 win.

PRX's victory came despite a sleepy match for their star duelist player, something. He was the lone PRX player to finish with a rating below 1.00 on Pearl. The rest of the team more than made up for his performance, however; f0rsaken's 30 kills nearly doubled something's 16.

The most kills across the match went to Kangkang, who was the lone EDG player to end the day with a positive kill differential.

EDG's last two defeats have now been to PRX.

Paper Rex, on the other hand, continues the tear it has been on since the team lost to DRX back in April. Since then, PRX has lost just twice: both times to a finalist at Masters: Tokyo. Both of those teams, Evil Geniuses and FNATIC, are among the three teams aside from PRX to qualify directly from their groups' winners brackets.

EDG will get another chance to qualify to playoffs by playing a rematch against Giants Gaming on Aug. 13.in
