Why are Immortals forcing Yoru so much? The only thing I can think of is that they're trying to get ahead of the meta and reallllly think Yoru will be played at something like Berlin.

I mean if Vikings make it to Berlin the lord himself gtn will play his signature 150 acs Yoru.

Yoru is strong on icebox and breeze. I think they are trying to capitalize on that. But it doesn't work if you're not optimal on yoru. Or if you are not good on yoru. Yoru actually is really strong on those two maps and he will have much more play rate probably because he's now not like a 1 map niche pick on icebox. I think it's fine to play yoru. But Immortals are obviously doing it wrong. But I do get why they are doing it though because Yoru is strong on these maps and he will continue to get better as people get better at him. But this is the wrong move. But I do get it.

I agree with Yoru being viable now on those specific maps, but they played exclusively Yoru during the Challengers 3 open quals, regardless of map, i just don't understand why, it's crazy

I agree. I feel like they should've done a guild style approach where they just use it on some maps and have some certain unique strats for it. But they probably did well in scrims or something.

Exactly, i just hope they can figure it out. They at least picked Reyna against EG for map 2
