with teams like the guard and gentle m8s making it to t1 i feel like a relegation system would be better rather than a 2 season period. As if the guard plays rly good but a team like SEN goes 0-9 with no wins and last in lcq they get to stay in t1 but the guard has to go back to t2? it dosent make any sense. what are yalls thoughts.

Imagine Relegation System in Pacific if GE/TS out of franchise. No PH or India, there'll be 5 Korean or 3 Indo teams.

Ig it’s a matter of opinions. But taking it to the extrem, I rather watch a Sen vs 100T in a bit of a lower level than an M80 vs OXG Valorant champagne

And still it’s really not like you put it, if Guard performs well that 0-9 will be smart enough to pick them all up in 2 years

Well if the guard win something
An exception could be made right?

Only every 4 years (3 years from now). So basically would have to go down to tier 2 for 1 year after the 2 year period and then if Riot decided to they can switch them for someone

Won’t be the case for ascension winners next year, since the end of their contract will match that 4 year span in which Riot can make the change. So they wouldn’t have to drop for that 1 year

It does make sense as the entire point of franchising is that some organisations stay in tier 1 so they have stability in their position and investors aren't scared to put money in. Adding a relegation system would lose that and mean franchising has no point and they should go back to the pre-2023 system.
