I'm talking about the pool for group stage
assuming the pool is based off of international event placements and ZETA and KRU would take the last two spots from LCQ:

Pool 1:
FNC, EG, PRX, EDG
Pool 2:
TL, NRG, DRX, BLG
Pool 3:
FUT, LOUD, T1, FPX
Pool 4:
NAVI, KRU, ZETA, GIA

Will the groups be based off their standings on their respective league?

last year there's like a VCT POINTS system so it also take accounts regional standings of their respective league
idk about this year though

no because they're from the same league I would assume, only EMEA would have two teams from their region in the same group because they have 5 teams in the tournament

yeah that makes sense, but i asked because before you edited it you said a group was likely to be loud nrg fnc and navi and that sounded wild ngl because they could´ve atleast 2 americas and 2 emea

Riot could add a region clause, though 1 group will always have 2 EMEA teams
would result in decent groups too if the pools end up similar to how OP described them

Is this actually how the matchups for groups will work? Surely they just draw random lots to determine the groups right?

they used to do that in 2021, they don't it for 2022 though, I hope they bring it back for 2023
