this might sound like cope but to be honest everyone (including myself) had too high expectations for this team. we won red bull, sure, but with basically the same roster we got grouped at champions and suddenly we are favorites to win lans? nah. compared to the rosters of teams like lev, loud, nrg, c9 and sen ours looks like a challengers team. i am massively disappointed, but the reality is this team isnt that great. we need a better igl. we said that since champions. i respect nade for having faith in this team, but this roster is never gonna win a championship, let alone qual.
still think we can do good at lcq, but if we dont see some improvements, roster changes have to be made.

Honestly the longer seangares was away from the team the worse they deteriorated. They need a solid coach more than anything, but also some player changes too. A coach is 60% of it though

I ahree that there is a lack of major starpower in this team. Derrek was not a consistent world class player nor was stellar that way. But c9 was able to develop players into a solid team so i think it has to do with player development and coaching.

true but we cant know how much a coach is doing for a team so its hard to say. should be a player decision tbh, plus not that many good coaches

I agree with the igl part, I think that they should take a chance on upcoming igls in the tier 2 scene like flyuh and johnqt. The coaching staff is a big problem also.

we had high expectations for them because they were said to be DOMINATING in scrims. and to be real here, everyone thought nrg would be bad (s0m streamer (hahah lol) going from duelist to controller, and ardiis (chamber)). LOUD had tuyz, also duelist to controller i believe. SEN obviously is because of dephh, only LEV first impression should have been way better.

100T kept all of their roster and upgraded the one player they dropped. this is why they were rated so highly.

I admire people who are ready to accept flaws, even in the things they like. It is true 100T's roster doesn't look as good as the other teams you mentioned. They looked good with good teamplay under Sean Gares, but the game keeps evolving, and teams keep getting analyzed. They do need more firepower and better coaching and IGL to be championship-winning level.

The truth about 100T? Asuna - inconsistent, not a superstar like the rest of y'all think of. After his reyna life game on ice box back in the early valorant most of you mfs think he's a god.

Except Cryo, the rest are just a bunch of mid nobodies

t2 has a lot of good players hope we can steal some of the players who dont win ascension like valyn or eeiu

the amount of threads trolling s0m because he is a popular streamer and not a controller was pretty considerable tbh.

I think its more 70% the coaches fault. They have a strong group of individuals, they just lack what sean used to bring. 100T relied mostly on heroics of the individual players and I think that is one of the major differences between how 100T looked at redbull to now. It used to be very fundamental but they completely steered away from it, and it costed them playoffs. I completely agree some players may need to be dropped. But it's a must we HAVE to get a better coach.
Well played MIBR

but we HAVE seen this team w/ sgares and how fluid their gameplay looked, even as Will struggled in regional games. They have looked the most disjointed w/ this on-the-fly shit that Stellar prefers for 8 straight weeks now. Redbull was using Sean's old strats and since the meta shift, their coaching hasn't fixed their issues w/ gameplans and execs. Either Mikes needs more staff to help him in this lacking department or Mikes needs to be replaced w/ someone who can do more..

In it's entire history, it seems like 100T has always had a problem with player development, scouting, and meta gameplans.

this is me being nitpicky, but is disputing 60% vs 70% really worth it?
on your point about needing a better coach... OPTC literally discussed how Mikes was an incredible assistant coach, seangares and other top coaches in the scene said he did great work, and stellar has said in interviews that he has a lot more freedom as an IGL now.
their performance with sean in the team was better, right? when stellar had less freedom?
the coach is not the issue. the issue is with how the structure of the team is set up

According to wyatt, this team just has mikes with other people coming in occasionally to help with analysis. All the other teams have 2-3 people consistently for coaching/analysis. So yea, it seems like a coaching staff issue.

we have also seen mikes bring teams to championship finals. teams also just fall out of form. i think the biggest problems with this team are:

keeping up with the meta
midrounding

Asuna's still the 2nd best rated player on this team rn. He's been fine for them despite losing them several rounds from overpushing. After 8 weeks of play, they have much bigger problems like Stellar in the bottom 6 (he's barely a decent fragger for them), Stellar's poor mid-rounding, and their inadequate coaching staff (either replace Mikes or add more staff to help w/ the macro gameplans, map pool, and execs).

Actually based 100T fan because everyone clowns on the most of us rightfully so. Totally something needs to happen if they don’t make it through lcq. Mikes needs help for lcq prep bring on an assistant coach/ analyst for the meantime. Like you said if they fall flat definitively change coaching plus roster changes with stellar, and derrek at the least.

he also throws a lot of rounds by overheating, maybe he just needs some better coaching tbh cuz his aim is fine

yeah idk how he was overheating like that w/ such a crazy important game on the line (dry walking into a ct smoke???) and putting them down numbers.. I'm hoping the poor discipline is from the lack of structure because so much of their stuff is on-the-fly now that mikes and stellar are at the helm. I remember threads and praises for 100T for their discipline and togetherness (like on Breeze w/ Will) back when Sean was leading... it's so sad that he has a family and couldn't make the move to LA.

stellar is a fantastic IGL and has shown he has a high skill ceiling. i dont think stellar is the issue, frankly i just think they need to reevaluate the way they look at the game to be more structured like they were with sgares. the team worked great with will and sean - then when an inarguably more skilled player came in under the same leadership structure, they won Red Bull. then when they moved away from that structure, they've started losing.
stellar isn't the issue
