If you look at comms videos on yt from teams, you can clearly hear the crowd

"BuT tHeY cAnNoT hEaR iT aS tHeY aRe WeArInG hEaDpHoNeS"

Bro the sound is being reflected through a player's mic which the whole team + coach listens to, they can all know the crowd is making noise or not because Mics are not noise sensitive. Even with Noise reduction, such high levels of sound are not removed completely.

With all 5 player mics throwing in the crowd sound and the fact that the noise cancellation doesn't cancel all the sound required (personal experience, i've used the Logitech G331 and my dog's barking from the mfing garage is audible inside those and I live on the 2nd damn floor fgs), crowd cheating is a real thing.

they are using white noise (similar to what ANC does but to a greater effect).

I'm not trying to defend 100T but im just pointing it out. Other than that, agree with what you are saying and the players 100% can hear the crowd

its pretty obvious for whoever has EVER gamed on noise cancelling headphones or has played infront of a crowd. People here think its not possible but trust me, 90% of crowd cheers are heard by the players.

why did they not rotate when someone yelled "GO B"???

I think I already said the fact that they are somewhat effective but not 100%.

Tell me something, you're playing in a professional environment like VCT and 3/all of crowd yells go B but the rest of the crowd stays quiet, what would you do?

Remember, crowd doesn't all support 1 team. Some of them support the other team too. When the whole crowd or majority of it however calls for something or makes noise randomly, you're smart enough (i hope) to know what they're cheering about isn't a bluff but is something pretty serious.

But in this case most of the fans are 100T and I hardly see Lev fans

Even if the event is hosted in a place where there is a home team playing, there are fans of the other teams, some because they support them, some because they hate the home team, some diehard fans and some just to troll etc. Its obviously not viewable to someone watching the game live but if you're in the crowd, you will notice that.

You're from India, let me give you an example.

The WC is scheduled to be hosted in India, who will you and the crowd be supporting and will there not be fans of the other teams there?

Exactly.

Isn't there a few seconds delay?

delay is on the streams, not the headphones and the comms.

Delayed comms would mess a team's comms themselves up.

What a player says is put forward without any delay straight up.

How many Crowd threads do yall want to make. These are the same people complaining about the Brazilian Crowd during Lock//In finals lmao.

I complained about that too and still am complaining about this problem, its something that exists and is something that ruins competitive integrity and has no real fix.

Maybe soundless booths for players to play in like PGL Krakow major in CSGO would be a fix.

not the same people actually. NA were among the most vocal ones about it in lock//in and now they are ignoring that they are doing the same

btw i think it's normal and not "crowd cheating", people react to games. players will hear, but from both teams, so everyone will be alert. collectively, it make noise. it will happen everywhere and it's part of lan
its not like it's possible to pass specific calls, usually just "spoils" that there's someone close

they can hear them yes, but everyone is portraying it as they can tell what theyre saying. yes the crowd getting loud means something, what it means is whats unknown. (we can hear the crowd differently, not only cause of the white noise, the mic is ofc way closer to the crowd so as a player, its hard to understand what theyre tryna say).

Players understand the fact that when the crowd gets loud randomly, it means something is going on which makes them check 360 degrees around them, thats a natural thing.

Put yourself in their shoes, you're playing a pro game and you clearly hear the crowd getting loud (they do hear that) while its a 5v5 and your team is in the site, would you not instinctively check everything? Its literally like a teammate giving you comms but they get cut out, they say player at X place but you just hear player at without the x place thingie, you obviously check it all. Same thing here.

Another thing i'd like to mention is the fact that i've hated this thing from the time when Olofmeister clearly abused it on cache (it was against Titan...? idr tbh). I thought it would be fixed but it couldn't be. It isn't because 100T or Loud were given favors, its been a problem for a long time now.
