chet explained it in a post match interview. basically last year, fns would be in the middle of the map playing initiator and on attack site executes so because of the meta this year, initiator makes sense for him to play and igl on.

we picked ardiis because he is pretty similar to yay, tell me another free agent who's close to yay level.
W stripper on smoke duty and hes very happy

W stripper is a W smoker but he could be a W duelist (he has shown) he always has been undermined in NRG, this could be due to FNS or s0m wanting these more passive roles s0m hasn't really ever been the main duelist on NRG but more so a flex player. and sadly yes there isn't anyone close to yay's level apart from him (but we don't got money like that)

sure ethos won't play but imo thwifo has t1 potentiel and has proven himself this guy is crazy good, best option for him is joining EG so staff can exploit his raw potentiel and he can later on dominate the scene

oh yeah, he isn't yay. my point is meta was unknown when building the rosters and no idea if chamber will get nerf. ardiis had great stats, great champions run and won a masters. was probably the closest free agent to yay at the time.
if you go look at reactions for ardiis pickup when it was announced, it was a lot of "this is the closest to yay that you gonna get"

ngl i think we should try out s0m on raze for a map, his mechanics are pretty good on her. i think the biggest issue is weird roles, and ardiis is lowkey throwing.. theres a whole bunch of flexibility going on rn so hopefully they are just trying some things out. praying for a nice, clean win vs sen next week!

nah even without people saying they will change roles. If not, they will underperform again. It only takes a 5 year old to understand that the comp they played today didn't workout.
