We have the resources. We have fans for literally every single team in franchising and hype. All we need is coordination.
If riot in the near future manages to be more hands-on and be more strict with the Production Management firms then we can 100% host an excellent event.

Indians naturally care ALOT about how our country is portrayed to the rest of the world and if the greedy companies don't deliver, the people themselves will hold them accountable like we have done in the past. So, it is kind of frustrating to see that our past mistakes and stereotypes are being used to propagate the idea that we can't host a good event.

The ones being stereotypical BOTS are the ones who hate on every other country disguising it as ''baits'' I don't see a sensible human being with a brain behaving like that and disregarding the idea of India hosting an international event just because of our past failures.

the fanbase is pretty low, it wont be as hype as others
adding on from 2nd reason, most val fans are in america timezone or emea timezone, but if the event is held in india, it would be difficult to maintain high twitch/yt viewership because timezone
there is only one franchised indian team (maybe irrelevant reason but still i think having players from the region is pretty importatn)

That event was hosted by third party to that why it was the terrible one even the players and org owners were fed-up from it but if masters happen it will be hosted by Riot itself so they will manage it pretty cool
Btw India has hosted many regional LANs before and they were kinda perfect

Also that event was hosted in Hyderabad but if riot hosts it in Mumbai/Delhi it will be most hyped vct tournament as of now (atleast better than Istanbul and SP) because most of the influencers lives in Mumbai/Delhi

Fanbase is not low at all.
The same could be said for the Tokyo Masters

Everyone saying the low infrastructure/develop are only imagining the poor parts, it's like having a mental picture of the slums of Detroit or the favelas of Rio and applying it to all of NA/BR, so it's a bull shit argument.
In my opinion though, it's the region's Valorant that still needs to develop more before they host a major. Give it like 2-3 years to see how well GE's plan + the SA VCL do at attracting an audience and developing semi-competitive SOUTH ASIAN (not import) teams before a major gets a hosted.

Couldn't have said it better, There are resources and infrastructure to host an LAN event with riot's standards but the esports scene especially the val scene is in its early stages as it matures and grows so will the quality of players and teams coming out of the country!
