I noticed this when Team Liquid CS lost to Luminosity in 2016
They lost with a 15-9 lead on Mirage, and 15-6 on cache.
I mean they had S1mple, Prime Hiko, Prime Nitr0, Elige, and Adren
It's been downhill since.
Most teams in this tournament has the "potential" to destroy every other team, turns out franchised teams get good players, so after talent then its the structure, teamplay, synergy, which we haven't seen from team liquid even before they got 2 new players, though a team with structure will be more likely to win, in a single-elim tournament every team has a chance to win it all just having a few great matches, just a few games where nats or jamppi take over will be enough, though i wouldn't pick them as favorites, i can confidently put 100T, Leviatan , Navi, DRX, PRX,NRG above them
