Hello Peeps,

I am a 2.5k hour CS player and looking to get into Val as I have moved back to Japan and not a single person in the internet cafe I go to plays CS anymore. Normally for CS I used to do 10 minutes of aim bots then community dm HS only 20 minutes before faceit games in OCE. I would like to get the mechanics of valorant down before jumping into an actual server. Any peeps have good recommendation warm up routines?

These kids don't know shit. JP server is a joke so you're gonna climb to high elo very quickly.

Just get used to counter strafing, never crouching (in DMs) and being constantly mobile. It's shoot-move not crouch-shoot-move. Most important part though are the abilities, so I'd recommend watching pro games and seeing setups and shit like that. Also, depending on how you played CSGO there are certain agents that will suit you best. Etc if you were hardcore entry then you need to be duelist, second man in is usually flash initiator, support smoker/recon, lurker sentinel.

Thanks that's very helpful. I like to entry so I'll follow up on that duelist recommendation. I watched a few pro games, seemed so intense coming from a CS perspective. Is there agent metas that I should be aware of?

also if you're looking to learn about utility usage there should be some useful guides out there and you can even watch the esports scene but the most important thing is actually playing the game and getting experience, i think initiator would be the best role for utility usage, i've been playing sova since the beta and ive gotten some insane gamesence thanks to him

Jett is meta, you want to use her dash as a get out of jail free card when peeking from off angles and dangerous places to stand. It also means you can play every angle with guns like the operator or marshal without any risks of being double peeked or traded. On attack if you throw a smoke onto site and then dash into it, it creates a lot of space very quickly.

Mess around with it in a custom game to get a feel for timings and stuff.

just play dm or normal aim labs, both mixed together is the worst of both worlds

Literally look at what comps most teams use in maps and then imitate them as much as possible each game.
