Malav is 100 perc correct, Nobody holding an open tryout, do somethin like optic india did, everyone just talks about 17 y old dont have experience, Valorant seriously is the game for new gen players not that washed boomers, even if you are taking imports kick those boomers first and believe in youth talent. Moreover the imports are mid at best. Not like some other dude from EU to completely change playing styles and brainstorm super new ideas.Invest in a GM and a good coaching staff then scout young players out of 10 orgs even if works for 2 it is better than being mediocre after investing shit tons on imports

I think both are in order. To prioritize one much more than another seems to be a mistake. Imports will raise the overall level of the region somewhat, and increased investment in player dev will obv uncover more young, raw talents.

I do agree that it seems to be a little biased towards the import approach, esp considering the quality of the players being imported . Also the fact that the only high profile imports to SA are to GE only doesn't seem to do much to develop the region, rather just to ensure that they remain top dogs in SA but not much more.

Yes, an import like igl makes sense to be stronger but the imports being imported are not like mechanically too superior many SA players are on par w them

guy is not wrong tho . India rosters filled with boomers going from one org to another . Like it tells you a lot when that dogshit player Rite2ace somehow gets picked up another org lmao
idt i see anyone aside from Tesseract who is really good . If any org paying 1000$ to a washed boomer / mid import player , then its better to find 2 young players and pay them 500$ each .

Also im ngl i dont think any org from India will defeat teams from VN , INDO , SG for example . They might get 2-3 matches but i dont see these roster filled with boomers winning the whole tournament , so might as well invest in players who can actually turn out to be good in the future.

it's okay to keep boomers on the team, as long as the boomers are ange1 or fns or scream and more. but if the boomers are kappa and friends, it's better to disband

Maybe in villages, $500 is a bit less for most people living in cities. $1000 is the salary where a comfortable life starts.

Anadi army is not even a proper org wtf? It's an amateur org at best, getting some money for playing esports on the side is just like getting some extra pocket change. Anadi army does not even have a proper website or socials like bro what are you smoking? I myself have played in amateur tournaments from my college and earned around 7K and I have never even hit ascendant. This was when I was doing a full time engineering degree and focussed on that instead of Valorant. Also don't act like you are the only guy over here who knows salaries. A lot of times the players just give hints in the streams. Most pros in tier 1-2 orgs in India get paid much more than 40K a month.

Most importantly I bet you have not even done taxes once in your life or have basic financial literacy given the fact you genuinely believe $500 is a good salary in Mumbai.

Bro no need to pay tax if u are earning 500$ a month. Its lower than the limit set by govt. For the people who need to pay tax.

https://cleartax.in/s/income-tax-slabs

$500 is very close to the tax bracket set by the govt for 10% on any income above 2.5 lacks a year. You might get rebates if you fell in the 5% bracket.

If you include bonuses or tournament winnings and stuff you easily exceed the minimum tax bracket of 5 lacks a year.

At least do some research before posting such shit.

Income which you earn is different from the winnings in case you don't know that. If you are employed by an org you will get salary as per your brakdown. Winnings on the other hand are taxable irrespective of the fact that you earn more than limit set or not.
Get your facts straight man before posting such shit.

Are you actually dumb or just pretending? Only a few tournaments hand out prize money directly to players. Most TOs hand out the prize money to orgs which can then either decide to not give the players the prize money (like X10 did) or hand out the prize money as a bonus/variable component in the normal salary. This is why you keep your mouth shut and not speak irrelevant garbage. Also does not change the fact that you genuinely said in the previous comment that $500 is not taxable in India.

Have u ever had a job bro? 😂
Ur money doesn't just sit in bank account. If u spend it and show revelant bills the money u earn-the base amount limit on which the tax get generated automatically gets cancelled out. Is the player going to keep whole 500$ saved so that tax can me generated on that money? Earn actual money before living on father's money then u will know the rules.
