ORG OVERVIEW
-DetonatioN FocusMe, sometimes abbreviated to just DFM, is a Japanese esports organization that was founded in 2012. They operate under the parent company GameWith
-The organization started in Counter Strike and has quickly grown to be one of the largest esports orgs in japan and hosts a wide range of rosters across many different games.
-Currently DFM competes in Apex, eFootball, Fortnite, Hearthstone, League of Legends, PUBGM, Shadowverse, Splatoon 3, Street Fighter V, Smash, and VALORANT
-In addition to FocusMe, DFM have a wide range of sponsors including NVIDIA and WD BLACK

ROSTER HISTORY

2020
-DFM entered Valorant shortly after the game launched with the roster of

-STABA
-mystic
-TENNN
-mittiii
-ZodiaX

-The team would make play through the first strike bracket at the end of 2020 and ended in 4th place following a loss in the Consolation Final to REJECT.
-DFM would continue to get reps in as a team ahead of the first VCT challengers split of the year

2021
-DFM struggled through the first stages of Japanese Challengers, with many of the brackets being decided by tight Bo1s or matches that would end in ties.
-Despite promising results, DFM would always fall short of playoffs for masters or higher events, causing them to miss the regional Masters 1, resulting in TENNN and STABA being replaced by Hate and himajun
-Even after this switch, the team struggled to produce results and did not qualify for the main event in stage 2.
-It was at this time that DFM stepped away from Valorant for the remainder of the VCT year and released their entire roster. They would begin rebuilding in early October, and finished their new roster for 2022 by the end of the year.

2022
-The new roster going into 2022 was:

-HSK
-killer
-Suggest
-SSeeS
-Melofovia
-Machao

-In the first challengers split of the year, DFM failed to qualify for the main event after struggling in their group, putting the entire roster on ice until the next VCT split
-Machao would be replaced with Barce and Pepper joined as a 7th (?) player
-This roster would show more promise, making it to the grand final of the open qualifier of Challengers 2 on two separate occasions, and won a grand final against FENNEL to make it to the main event
-However they would be knocked out by Jadeite early, who ended DFM’s season in June

2023
-After being accepted into the pacific league, DFM immediately made massive roster changes
-Suggest was brought back on the roster and xnfri joined from Northeption, who had recently proven himself as a promising Japanese up and comer
-Reita and Takej were brought in from Zeta and Anthem from Reject.
-Seoldam, the original Korean Jett, rounded out the roster after sitting out the entire 2022 VCT season.
-The new roster recently played at the ONE pro invitational in several show matches against Fnatic, DRX, and Paper rex.
-Although they lost all their matches, they put up a decent fight against all these teams
-Assuming no further changes are made, DFM in Sao Paolo will be:

-xnfri
-Suggest
-Seoldam
-Anthem
-Reita
-takej
