it is actually very broad it looks small on the regular map. the thing is wont you guys have like 2-3 hrs difference from west to east point like the east point might be having sunset at 3 or 4 PM while east it's still afternoon

yea , North eastern India sun sets at 4PM and western India sun sets at 8 PM

No one would account a time diff for least population at north east majority population till west bengal is fine with 1 time zone, idk but ne can be excluded as lesser population and to maintain uniformity

They actually taught us in school that, its too complicated for us to set 2 timezones as the one we have passes through almost the centre, getting 2 will mean that they are on 2 ends of the country which will further complicate things
