They lost their job because their owner decided to be irresponsible. I may not like them as much but damn it’s sad 😞

But on a related note, if they had gotten into NA franchising, what would have happened to their EMEA team anyways? Don’t they have to field an Americas roster?

tbh i think riot made the decision way before the incident

How though? Their decision was made because of Tate partying with Carlos no? They won’t have a good reason eitherwise.

no they didn't, they were a lock in NA. Riot held a last minute meeting regarding the carlos controversy and decided not to partner

Obviously it’s all “reportedly” but it’s been fielded and reported by generally consistent and historically accurate journalists.

The players would need to move and also....all the Tier 1 teams will shuffle their rosters in this off season to improve their performance so even if they were getting partnered....G2 would have most probably released their players for better talent cz tbh they ain't getting shit with the Current one

Pretty sure it had nothing to do with their decision, and Carlos did nothing wrong

g2 was locked for an na spot but riot held a meeting after the drama and decided against it. and judging by the fact that you said carlos did nothing wrong i can tell that you're 12 and not old enough to be on the internet

Yes, he associated himself with a controversial figure but that does not warrant him being put on leave or g2 not making franchising.

This is how riot operates. Whatever you think about Tate Carlos let down tens of his employees by being reckless on twitter

How would it not? Riot and G2 has a responsibility to their stakeholders - players, fans, and most importantly to them their sponsors. Dealing with Andrew Tate is a PR nightmare.

Sorry but regardless of your position on Tate, Carlos brought upon bad press by acting against the interest of G2. He has responsibilities as CEO and a responsibility to his players.

the players wouldve been dropped.
staff behind the scene wouldve stayed but staff from the team that got the slot now stay
