Victor

I don't really understand why people are saying to drop Victor. If you think about it, the only players who could do his role at the same level or better in NA are Zellsis, Leaf, Zekken, or Asuna. However, if you factor in the experience/chemistry he has with the team substituting him for someone else would just be a downgrade.

zellsis is the best in slot for that role

honestly i thought victor did a really great job on duelist (phoenix, jett) this event and he only got a little off on kayo. he had great performance and impact and im positive he has great chemistry with the team. im almost certain that theres no way OpTic would drop victor in the first place and not without dropping crashies too anyways.

I think Victor is good, but he just seems to throw away rounds by trying to push the pace too much. It reminds me of when someone is smurfing on duelist in a 5 stack and just trying rushing before any teammate util can really support them with/get setup for trades , because they think they can just aim diff.

tbh, i think his only problem is overheating or pushing angles (on DEF) that he probably shouldn't. those are easy fixes though so i don't see it being a huge issue.

I agree with most of what you said but there's no way they'd drop crashies, it'd be his decision. He'd most likely only leave if Victor got dropped because they would want to stay as a duo.

Nah its just whenever he plays Neon now, he's always just dying the same way. He walls up and tries to speed his way into site without his team really being in a spot to help him, it was the same on three maps(haven, breeze, and fracture), and they eventually had to change up the comps because of it.

but like if u compare his jett/raze vs yay, aspas and these other duelists do you think he delivers good perfomances still? i was thinking this...for me in breeze he got diff by aspas especially wih awps.

i dont think its a specific person bringing down optic, its a lack of a good map pool. they wouldn't win ascent vs any good team

I thought victors best performances came on raze. His jett rifle is good, but he's not really an awper. If I had to compare him to yay I would definitely say that yay is a better jett overall, but in terms of jett entry I think Victor is better for how Optic is structured. I mean you are also comparing Victors performances to top players in the world like aspas who I think is a top 3 raze/jett ITW. If you compared Victor to other flex in NA he's definitely top 5.

People acting like he didn't literally play 5 agents vs DRX and looked great overall. No player is ever gonna look great every map when u ask them to play so many different agents.

The lack of a good map pool I feel is because of their comps. They are too focused on putting yay on chamber(which he is a god at I'm not saying he's not), but it ends up messing up the rest of the rosters comps. FNS can't really play sentinel or else it would be a double sentinel comp with the problems of it being exposed on haven, with the lack of initiator util causing optics demise on that map. It causes FNS to play viper on maps which Marved should be playing Viper like Icebox and Breeze, and Marved's Kay-O although the supportive utility has been good it just seems like he would do so much better on a controller. Optic has also been having major struggles on defense because of this, just one chamber trip isn't really enough for maps like Breeze and Ascent(when yay played Chamber) where Optic was just getting dismantled on CT.

OpTic has got 3 strong maps (Pearl, Fracture, Bind). Icebox wasn't played much and they nearly beat LOUD on ascent which is very impressive. their breeze got better against DRX and there was some improvement against LOUD to, they just threw away the lead. Haven looked good before the LOUD match, now i'm not so sure. I think they could easily solidify Breeze and Icebox, just need to work more on Haven and Ascent.

If they just put yay back on jett on maps like Icebox and Breeze their comps could actually be so good for those maps

the thing is his stats weren't even bad, just on kayo he couldn't do as well. marved and vic both gotta work a bit more on that but overall victor looks good on duelist. he just isn't getting an absurd amount of frags.

icebox is literally the one map they shouldn't put him on jett for. no duelist is the meta. i can agree with u on breeze. i actually think marved should play chamber on breeze like he used to, assuming they don't put him on viper

Dropping some 1 after being 2nd in the biggest tournament of the year + making top 3 every international event this year would be just dumb
