A far cry from Copenhagen so far. Hopefully he heats up in the lower bracket!

people need to start realizing that clutches involve a decent amount of "luck", you cant expect anyone to clutch consistently every tourney.

You'd say that, but Shao WAS consistently clutching in every single game at copenhagen. That's part of what made his performance so incredible.

While i agree that he had an amazing performance at Copenhagen with outrageous clutches, he only won 21/83 attempted clutches (25%). He currently sits at 3/15 (20%) which is not THAT much lower. Its just that we remember the crazy ones from Copenhagen which made it feel like much higher.

When you depend on a player's ability to clutch to win games
Then maybe you need to rethink your strategy
Thats what brought down 100t
They depended on clutches from their players mainly hiko and couldnt close out on Na lcq

true! he needs to be able to actually be last alive in lots of scenarios + a lot of clutching is taking advantage of mistakes made by the other team.

relax. fpx only played 2 matches, 3 clutches is normal for 2 match

I got into the thread to say the exact same thing.
Just look into the whole VCTBR circuit, there were a lot of crazy clutches, but in the end it just showed the lack of depth in those team's strats...

imagine a player is so good that 3 clutches in 2 matches is "bad performance"

His Impact is still insane, His 1v3 clutch against Kru on Icebox was the reason i think they even were able to 2-0 them- And XSET's Strategy and counter play caused him to clutch almost never- they never gave him 1v1s like most teams in copenhagen and never Went too aggressive or too slow against him on breeze or pearl- they managed to defeat FPX in multiple Forms- Map Veto, Pistols, Opening Kills, And Clutch percentage amongst the players
