Whats the cheapest Nvidia GPU should I buy to make sure that it is still relevant in the next 5 years? If so, what CPU should I pair with it?

I think i would go for the i5 10600k instead or even not a k model depending on the mother board. I believe its better worth for the price
edit - my previous 1070ti worked for 4 years with no problems expt with really high intensity games (not val obv.)

What's your reasoning?

12100f is about $100 right now and the 10600k is more expensive ($170)

12100f consumes less power and is faster (although has less cores)

gtx 1660ti is a good budget one tbh
that or like an rtx 2050 or 3050 other than that you might as well not buy one imo

RTX 3060 if you can, but if you cannot i guess RTX 2060 would do just fine. Wait tho because its been rumored that both Nvidia and AMD is slashing prices off the 30- and 6x- respectively

Also any new 12th gen cpu would do fine i3-12100F is a good choice

Found a 3060 12gb OC for $500 canadian(380 usd), i think this is the one for aaa games

If u only play competitive then 1660ti or 3050 is enough

edit: 12400F or 12600KF for cpu. Always get the F so u dont spend extra money for the integrated gpu

A RTX 3060Ti. Pair it with a 12400F or get a 5600X. AM4 socket will still be relevant as AMD promised to release more of the X3D CPUs in future.

Forgot to put a price point and games that i play. My current budget is 1.5k pounds excluding the monitor. Games: Val, csgo, r6s, Overwatch, monster hunter rise and genshin impact. I might play some campaign based games in the future like tom clancys ghost recon and lego star wars skywalker saga.

Does that mean it uses alot of electricity? I have to buy a higher wattage of PSU right?
