SEN would DOMINATE Korea

I saw nikoya fighting for his life over DRX and the region of korea, but every team in the NA LCQ would be the best team in Korea and that's a fact. Hell, we might as well throw in EU LCQ teams.

Here's why:

  • DRX have a horrible mental. Everyone and their mother knows that they choke extremely important matches and get in their own heads against difficult opponents. When going up against teams who are very aware of their playstyle and have better firepower, DRX should pray for mercy.

  • No one in Korea is even close to DRX. "BUT ONSLAYERS GOT 2ND IN EA LCQ!" suck my cock. The hardest team they went against was a Northeption team led by meteor and xnfri. (i mean look at the stats LMAO) They also beat out a Tier3 Korean team, the 3rd best team in Japan, and the 2nd best team in CN (who aren't even close to EDG).

  • DRX coaching staff still have a bad read on the game. As Benkai said on Plat Chat, "Most of the Korean coaches are from 1.6 and haven't adapted fully to how VALORANT could and/or should be played. Once they start looking at other teams, they can do so much better." this is why PRX are winning champs.

  • Lastly, SEN would THRIVE in a region like Korea. SEN have proven before that they can combat the style of Korean teams (they are undefeated against KR teams and dominated NU) . The KR teams play a very fast, execute heavy style which not only is it not thought out well, but the SEN players could easily shut down the lesser skilled players and adapt to that style.

TLDR: SEN would peepee poopoo on KR. don't even get me STARTED on DRX in NA

i'll buy everyone who likes this post a champs bundle if DRX place top 3 at champs.

@nikoya

  1. DRX chokes when the pressure gets going, which is evident for a fact. However, so do a lot of teams under pressure, and SEN do as well. Take last Champs, for example; they were grouped because they couldn't close out leads (10-8 --> 10-13 against Liquid on Split; 8-4 --> 11-13 against KRU on Split); they had ample opportunity to, but why couldn't they, especially against KRU? They were the better team, but KRU came through in the end. Going back to "DRX chokes when they face a team who are very aware of their playstyle and have better firepower," that's not necessarily a choke; that's one team better prepared than the other, which happened to SEN so many times.

  2. "No one in Korea comes close to DRX." Yes, that is very true. Because there is a belief that DRX blacklists every other team, those teams won't get the opportunity to come close to DRX. If SEN were in Korea, they'd be blacklisted from DRX, thereby getting outmatched. So that already invalidates your point.

  3. "DRX coaches have a bad read in the game." Okay, so is that why they always make international tournaments? Is that why SEN always fails to qualify for LANs despite having a better read of the game? That is such a dumb argument lmao.

  4. "SEN have proven before that they can combat the style of Korean teams (they are undefeated against KR teams and dominated NU)" F4Q AND NU? Two teams that don't even exist anymore? Two teams that played against SEN in two different metas?? Also, to the fast-paced gamestyle point, FaZe does that, and guess what? SEN lost to them. 100T is a most recent example, and guess what? SEN lost to them.

no, they wouldn't, because they wouldn't beat DRX. In fact, even if DRX didn't exist I still doubt they could. At least On Sla2ers came second in LCQ. Your argument may work if Sen just barely didn't make international events, but no, they haven't. Sen is not even remotely international material, even if they were to compete in APAC/Korea. I understand that Korea is a weaker region than NA, but that doesn't matter because Sen would lose even there. Stop coping.

"Sen would qualify for every event in Korea because Korea is dogshit." Perhaps if Sen were actually still good and achieving any sort of result then I could see a world where they would qualify if they played in Korea. But no, you're just wrong, let me remind you of some Sen facts.

Sen barely got top 5 in LCQ. You're hung up over a win that they've won a year ago when they couldn't even get past groups in the last Champions. Sure at that tournament, DRX didn't either, but since that champions, Sen has not ever made another international appearance because they couldn't qualify. In fact, they didn't even come close. In the last three months, out of eight games, Sen has won one.

They went out 0-5 in NA's group stage. Don't come talking to me about DRX underperforming in playoffs when Sen can't even make it to playoffs in their own region. In fact, they barely even qualified for the group stage in the first place. Sen lost the open qualifier even with a bye. And in the next open qualifier, they lost again and had to qualify through the lower bracket. And then they went 0-5 in the group stage. They won 1 map in five matches. It was 1-10. -48 Round differential. And you talk about Korea being dogshit.

In the VCT before that, they barely passed group stage with a 3-2 record and then proceeded to completely bomb out of playoffs 0-2. Who underperforms in playoffs again? Sentinels. At least DRX are losing to teams like FPX and Optic. Sen got doggied by Guard and V1. DRX made it farther than Guard, and V1 didn't even qualify for Reykjavik. At least DRX makes it out of groups. At least DRX wins a match or two in playoffs. At least DRX lose on a world stage.

Sen can't qualify for anything by themselves, they had to rely on other teams underperforming and bombing out for them to even get a chance. And when they did get a chance they still didn't achieve anything.

And don't use that "Sen third best in LCQ pepega" logic. Just because Sen lost to 100T and Guard doesn't mean that they're somehow third place in the tournament. It means that they're worse than 100T and Guard. 100T and Guard were even in worse form playing Sen and still won. You know who else got eliminated by 100T and Guard? C9 and Faze. And in the end, it still doesn't matter because 1. they still lost and 2. they didn't qualify (again, at all this year).

Don't come to me with that "your argument is flawed" when you're the delusional one.

It's fine to support your own team through the ups and downs but don't try to shit on mine when I'm doing the same thing.

DRX would still lose to teams like guard and v1. Your entire post is honestly just a bunch of crap, talking about regional results, when thats the exact point, NA is infinitely harder than KR, and again, SEN would dominate both DRX and Korea as a whole, let alone optic lmao. If sen played DRX in this form of theirs, they would absolutely dominate DRX. You fail to realize that SEN had the closest games as a whole against the top 2, and they're 100% better than faze/c9. Stage 1 results are irrelevant, as it is now, sen would undoubtedly dominate both DRX and kr.

  1. DRX qualify because KR is way easier than NA. So its harder for SEN to qualify because NA is so competitive (also were behind the meta but thats besides the point). DRX have no real competition besides maybe maybe Onslayers on DRXs worst day and onslayers best. Ricky himself countered your counterargument

W james. I am not trying to use massive amounts of copium. But i agree, their top 5 placement doesnt really reflect their actually “skill” in this tournament. They were like 1 round away from beating the guard and 1 round from ot against 100t. But in the end those teams did get the best of them
