Valorant is about to be franchised . Americas will be 1 region from 2023.
And no one gives a shit about how good you are as a region in csgo if its literally an EU esport at this point .

If we take team performance into account, then yes, NA have waaay too many slots in the Americas league. Should be more even between NA and SA.

Casual playerbase only exists in EU. Poland server is bigger than the 3 NA servers combined in CS.
Covid killed the NA pro scene as well, before that there were 2 teams in the top 5 (You have to admit that before Covid NA was looking good w/ C9, GenG, Liquid, EG + rising squads like Chaos, and Orgless

Its because shitty valve dont care about game growth in other regions. Asian pros have struggled for years because of no clear path. csgo aint franchised but also is at the same time.

LATAM's 3rd best team (FUSION) has 2 NA players on it that were tier 2 at best when they were in NA...
LATAM's 2nd best team didn't make it out of groups and their only win was against their own continent...
LATAM's best team barely beat XSET...
