I think everyone can agree the scene is getting a bit stale, and franchising will make it even more boring because only a small number of teams

So let’s say Riot hires you as head of Valorant Esports

What format do you do to revive this scene and make it a lot better so it grows instead of declines

keep franchising (na/sa frequent competition = good, also its not THAT bad)
create a ton of lower tier tournaments for non-franchise teams to promote new players and teams looking to get into franchising. I dont know much about EU's VRL's, so i cant compare, but I'd think it to be something like the NSGs and the Knights tournaments but hosted by riot with larger prize pools.
Idrk tho

tbf its only stale if you only watch masters for 1 region and the lans. Theres plenty of enjoyment to be had from watching things like gamechangers and t2 tourneys. Alot of content if you dig a bit deeper.

NO Franchising

16 team challengers, 20 team masters, 24 team champions

and a different challengers format thats not round robin over 2 months. maybe swiss system into playoff bracket or smth

Promotion / relegation system with bottom 8 teams from challengers getting relegated and fighting for their spot

More 3rd party tournaments

that is too much

the only problem is master, should be 16 teams, and champs 20 or 24 teams

If they make it a franchise then they should at least allow one open slot so I can grind with my friends
