100T vs Faze (who should qualify)

Imma keep it real with you, I want Faze over 100T in qualifier contention. I like 100T don't get me wrong, but I don't think they have what it takes to perform on the world stage yet. Only Asuna and Bang seem able to keep up in NA rn (Derrek in a bit of a slump, and Will isn't consistently dominating openings and first kills), and while I trust sgares and MikesHD, I don't think they'll have enough time to prep for every team like they need to in order to win. Faze with Dicey and Babybay (who are undeniably two of the best fraggers in NA), plus the fantastic supportive utility from Flyuh and Poised, could definitely compete with teams such as PRX, Xerxia, and maybe even Loud/DRX. Either way, let the better team win and we'll see who makes it to masters!

TLDR: Faze > 100T to increase NA's chances

Common L my dude. Even if they beat Faze, I doubt they're gonna beat EG/NRG plus XSET. If they DO manage that, I'll trust them to make it to playoffs at LAN.

They win today

2-0 for EG/NRG

2-1 vs xset after staff preparations

Yeah I could agree more or less. I still want 100t to win and qualify obviously, but they’re a little one dimensional it feels like. Only one set of strats per match up. However, I don’t think faze would be all that better. They seem pretty simple to counter. Make sure dicey can’t get kills and et voilà, they’re toast. Faze can’t win with just babybay getting frags, it HAS to be dicey.

I mean you could say the same about PRX but they did pretty well. At the moment I just trust Faze more.

I doubt either team will make it to LAN. I like 100T but their map pool is awful. Ascent and Haven are auto Ls so they will most likely lose the bo5 to xset if they even make it there.

Yeah but prx had actual strats, faze is wait for fk, then brute force your way in

That's debatable. Sure their fragging is a big part but they have so many little things that make their fragging so much more potent and little strategies to allow them to open space for babybay/dicey

Well that’s the thing i guess, their strats are to get them the initial pick, which is great, but if you shut those little plays down, then they can’t do anything. The last matchup against 100t was a demonstration. It probably won’t happen again but 100t on the flip side of the maps just made it so dicey and babybay couldn’t get picks and they fell apart. And I think against good teams that can shut that down easily, faze won’t stand a chance. But I am more than open to be wrong causeI love quan (cause you know 100t gave him his career start sooo and he’s so lovable)

Well, im not disagreeing but Between Babybay and Dicey they had 138 kills between the two of them and 27 first kills between the two of them with a +9 difference in those. In total Faze won 39 of 67 first kill engagements. Which is 58% in total of first kill engagements with Dicey and Babybay being responsible for 69% of Faze's first kills. In my opinion that isn't really stopping them when they were both so dominant in their respective maps and in their respective roles.

yeah they really just didnt play too well on defense and couldnt seem to close it out. partially due to flyuh having an off game. dont think that will happen again tho

It’s stopping them in the sense that both of their fk’s got cut in half on the sides that 100t came back.

Optic is the only team in NA with a deep map pool rn, by which I mean they play ALL the maps.

100T with dicey instead of Will
Faze might even win this time around cuz its a rematch but I genuinely think 100T are better when you really compare everyone, and they have a better chance against EU teams compared to Faze, even if Faze win here they're going to lose against EG or even if they beat em they'll lose against xset lol
100T have a better matchup against EG and xset compared to Faze, Dicey isgood and so is babybay but a team takes at least 5 people
