I think it is as mentally taxing as sports however I dont think we can call esports a sport until there is some sort of physical exertion similar to that of sports

I mean, it does have physical exertion, most of the pros do, or end up doing wrist stretches so they dont burn out and end up hurting.

imo it doesn't have the same amount as sports but i dont think the sports definition is based on exertion.

If you are a formula 1 esports driver, its pretty similar to real racing - just minus the Gs and risks

I think that if you consider chess a sport than you kinda have to consider esports a sport as well since they're similar in the ways chess is talked about as a sport
