So I reached immortal 2 140 rr on my 60hz setup before I had to stop playing due to exams.. Now that my exams are about to get over, I was thinking about upgrading to a 144hz setup cuz I have always wanted to pursue professionally in Valorant.. Now I've got two questions..

  1. Will upgrading my pc provide any benefit to me?
  2. If yes, then what things should i upgrade?

If you wana upgrade yo monitor then you need to insure your CPU can run at a constant 144fps or above, so you might have to upgrade your CPU too

Valorant is a cpu heavy game rather than a gpu heavy one so, I suggest you upgrade it...getting a better clock speed does help. But most importantly...get a better network connection.

if he really wants to he can set the monitor to 120 hz for the time being, but i think his specs can run 160 easy

lan is the best and cheapest way but as long as you have stable ping your good, you could always look at wifi mesh's if you dont wanna run a wire across the house

my CPU is better than his but runs less FPS, so I’m unsure, Just remember Valorant is a CPU based game and will depend more on the CPU a than the GPU for FPS

Yup I already have a stable ping of 35 ms.. But internet connection is not a major problem for me.. I just wanna know if my current specs can run a 144hz monitor

well running high settings is pretty unnecessary,if you can get 160 fps consistently on low go ahead and buy the 144 hz monitor(i suggest you ask for recommendation before buying one)

but I've heard that you need atleast 180ish constant fps for the game to run smooth on 144hz?

as long as its not fluctuating too much its generally fine, thats why i also gave the option of setting the monitor to 120 hz for the time being

Try it
If your pc fluctuate fps then on screen it will jitter.
Try yourself if you have this ,then buy new cpu
