Shahzam ranted on stream about how NA literally doesn't have any strats/tactics. He said NA only run duelists and they play looking for peeks before rushing and dry peeking a site. He said this is the reason NA is so inconsistent.

The tldw he disagrees that the fundamentals of cs like presets and shit are the fundamentals of valorant (or atleast that its an assumption that hasnt been proven) and that theyve created a more organic flowy type thing and if you wanna claim that teams like imt or LG can straight up run thro smokes and win every game like that youre just wrong. at some point in the vod he also states that he feels teams are inconsistent cause they arent putting in all the effort for t2 or t3 teams. At somepoint he directly talks about Shahzam but i cba to find a time stamp for that.
Note none of this is my opinion i dont follow NA to closely and this is mostly shit i remember of the top of my head from when i watched it yesterday but its worth a watch just for the insight.
I'll watch it. But I have to say that Shahzam is more credible on the state of NA rather than IMT's coach. If anything he beat them plenty of times.
As for NA, (this part is imo) every round is so slow in the start and it doesn't end in anything nuanced. I don't see crazy executes and crazy counter executes and intricate rotations. That's why sage fell out of meta in NA, because it's the perfect agent to halt a coordinated attack, but those don't exist. In fact, you don't even have to watch a game, you should only be able to imagine that there aren't a lot of possibilities in terms of strategies with the limited utility of phoenix, reyna and jett (the most played non-omen/sova agents).
Definitely missing some context here. He wasn't talking about NA as a whole, just certain teams. The most notable being LG/IMT where they often play with less strategy and more relying on pure aim and just taking fights. It's often very difficult to combat this without simply doing it yourself and punishing their peaks.
This is one thing I think Sentinels did really well from the start of the closed qualifier to the end. They adapted very well to the LG/IMT playstyle so much so that they dominated both teams in the finals.
