You don't have to get a kill, you could get space and gather info. If you pay more attention you would find jinggg usually did that for his team, like for example, there was one round on split where he pushed a main to sewers with the ult and there was not much time left on the round and that allowed his team to stack the other site. That imo is better than getting a kill bc he basically secured the round.
