Indian teams and Meta

So I watched India's VCC and reviewed the changes that has happened after the last major tournament. The last match of Indian Valorant I had seen was GE vs VLT in VCC finals and GE vs F4Q was the last match that I had seen an Indian team play live. Today after watching GE vs TR and EG vs VLT I realised that not a lot of Indian teams have adopted new agent picks and continue to bask on agents that had been released previously. EG vs VLT surprised me a lot because both teams were running Jett and Raze with Sova. This was one of the earliest meta comps during 2020 and the only change is that Astra has replaced Omen.

I watched a couple of SEA teams play and they seemed to be running different comps. Many teams seem to be running a lot of KAY/0 and the top 3 teams in India have not used Kay/0 as of recent. My question is, "Are Indian teams in the meta? If we don't innovate will we able to catch up with our neighbours?"

No they are way too rigid and conservative, really need to try new things if u want to get to and stay at the top, even Gambit, the best team in the world made changes from masters 3 to champs

agreed, they need to adapt asap to the meta or else there will be literally no improvement from last year's lcq

Kayo doesn't suit the playstyle of any top Indian teams or Indian players.
Neon, imo, isn't a good agent for competitive scene, like pheonix.
Chamber is the only agent after Astra that we might see Indian players play. And I believe we would see Chamber in VCT APAC/VCT SEA (I don't know what it's gonna be called)

Also True Rippers played both Kayo and Chamber and did kinda good.
I think the top teams just saving them for SEA.

True, indian teams dont want to experiment with new things which is one of the reason they are still behind in competition. But On the other hand, teams like RGE has been running new agents very effectively, they play Kay/o and chamber on several maps, players like deadly10 on kay/o is a treat to watch. RGE's new lineup looks very promising since they are adopting new agents into their competitive lineup and showing other indian teams the capability of agents like kay/o which doesnt deserve to be ignored. I guess TR also run Kay/o in split.

TR also played Chamber on Haven, Bind and Fracture and Kayo on Bind.
So a lot of hopes from these tier 2 teams.

the good thing about val is that the meta is always evolving, you have to adapt and make changes if you wanna win.

Acend has been playing bind with the same comp for over 6 months

Acend's bind comp has always been meta excepting for the fact that they don't use Astra instead of Brimstone. But Bonecold shines on Brim so putting him on Astra would only make them weak.

I hope so too. But don't know who would play Chamber on GE. Probably Kappa.

After seeing Antidote's Op, we might see EG (on Breeze) play,
Rawfiul - Jett
Excali - Kayo/Skye
Rexy - Sova
Antidote - Chamber
RvK - Viper

Imo this comp is awesome and suits their playstyle
