It is still better to have less matches against strong oponents. Less chances that you will be destroyed if you make bunch of mistakes in a match or just have a bad day. Weak team might not punish you for that but strong team probably will. Also many hard matches in a row drains you mentaly and in that level all small things might make a difference. Every team would choose the easiest oponents in a bracket no matter if you have lower bracket or not, no matter if only winning the tourney matters or not.
