Why LCQ isn't actual LAN

HeyClassic

APPARENTLY the servers got stuck in German customs, so they couldn't be in LA on time. I've also heard that they wanted it to be online in case any players needed to play from the hotel (e.g. If any players test positive for COVID or something like that)

Not saying they did everything right, just replaying the info i've heard.

How did they get the sub, was it just a player who lives close by, or was it a planned emergency sub maybe?

I know VCT allows coaches to sub in if the team has one

Riot allow some substition in exception as disease. For example, tockers played in krain place in First masters because of a medical condition and probably CTC lives near in São Paulo

They're obviously staying in Hotels, if for whatever reason a player cannot physically attend the venue but is staying in the hotel, they can still play for the team without risking others
