and there are no pro teams in Sudden Attack, but there are many teams in PUBG and Overwatch.

11th is not that bad considering starcraft is like 12th, and it's the 3rd most popular fps

Koreans are the best at apex (ras, selly, mondo, t1) but its not even near Valorant's popularity, its like top 25 or so

I guess whenever Koreans touch a game they completely dominate it lol, it's crazy. Isn't there also a really healthy upbringing of esports talent in Korea? That's what I've heard from my brother who's really into League.

Nice to see esports being taken as seriously as conventional sports, my question is how is the general public's reaction to these types of school, because I know many Americans have a very negative attitude towards video games. Is the same sentiment in Korea, or is it different?

Obviously!! If they somehow managed to finish in Finals (which I don't doubt, they definitely has a chance of making in finals and given Lakia hasn't even played yet, and still they played pretty good against ACE). So Valorant becoming a huge thing in Korea is a thing.

Isnt pc bangs like internwt cafés? If so than valirant is probably higher than that. MOBAs are just way better to play in such places

if you know anything about korean culture, you realize that population stats from pc bangs are relatively equal to what the actual statistic is. it's pretty normal for everyone to go to a pc bang afterschool, or even skip classes to go to one. Korea's gamers really just live in them basically.

it's always amazed me that the korean teams are performing so well despite having such a tiny player population. it's why i doubted nuturn back before they started their iceland run, it just seemed impossible to me when the game was popping off in the other regions.

i think the korean scene is blessed to have multiple veterans like solo, glow, termi, argency, there as a guiding figure to the younger players. If it was just the cracked zoomers going around tapping heads I know they would never reach this level of success.

Looking forward to the day where Valorant becomes huge in korea (hopefully someday), I think we'll see multiple teams stronger than Vision Strikers ever was once that happens.
