Players from top teams reach rank 1 in radiant like tenz,asuna,sick. And players from tier 2 teams are barely seen in the top 20 so I think ranked helps you.

Tenz hasn't been rank 1 in radiant for the past like 5-6 months....Rank helps but I don't think the leaderboards really matter at all.

in CS, FPL was good prac, in VAL i think ranked is really bad, these guys prob just hate ranked and want to scrim.

Ranked is full of throwers and most pros just stream it for content. i think ranked def can help but it's not nessacary

My take might be bad but here's my take:

FPL was much better because it was "exclusively" to the best of the best where you had to go through a qualifier (FPL-C or FPL Challenger) and only the top like 3 would qualify
The thing with ranked in VALORANT is that the skill gap is incredibly smaller so it's a lot more easier to get to ranks like Diamond and Immortal and often people who are Radiant would queue with or against people who are low Immortal or sometimes even high Diamond and it wouldn't be much of a challenge
There needs to be a league kind of like FPL in VALORANT
It's also much better to moderate the toxic people and throwers in FPL since there aren't as many people
