is it me or do I feel like in sports, people whos favorite team makes a bad roster change actually complain about it, but in val or maybe esports in general, if their fav team makes a roster change, they just agree with it even if it was bad.

Bc valorant is very volatile, even Derke can have a bad day and not seem like a good player, I still waiting for that day tho

a bad day wouldnt ruin ones reputation, it would have to be over a long period of time. Im sure I can pull out a bad game from derke easily this year.

Look, even things like changing the mouse could affect the players performance and u gotta be in the top for lots to be considered a good player, I feel all valorant pros are the same level but some are just having a better moment, its basically luck

bro really? tenz changes his mouse and hes still cracked. and its not luck if u r consistently doing well, thats what separates t1 and other lower teams. You want someone good and is consistent. Theres going to be plently of games where t2-3 player dominate t1 players but theres reason why that guy isnt on t1.

ok? its not like teams are trying to predict what the meta changes will be, they are picking them up based on their skills, chemistry, etc.

Bad roster changes are much more obvious in real sports is what im trying to say. Valorant especially is pretty complex, and any player can be very good even if they played bad earlier.

bad roster changes are obvious in valroant too. and american football, if u know the 49ers, u would know what improving is. their quarter back went from being the very last draft pick into one of the best quarterback.

Conventional sports are significantly more stable than esports, which are characterized by high volatility. While an individual might excel in one esports game but struggle in others, consistency is paramount in conventional sports. For example, football players typically have contracts lasting 2-4 years, which, when paired with poor performance, can understandably anger fans who are paying to watch the game. Conversely, esports players can be easily dropped after a single season of subpar performance.

sure contracts can last that long, but theres also the bench and other good players on the team that plays the same position. I'm not really familiar with football(messi's fotball and not american football(im guessing ur talking about that)) becuz i dont watch but im sure there are subs that play the same position.

in current modern days of football even good bench players are needed since they could play 3-4 matches a week which will be exhausting if the same players should play that much in the entire season.
