ELI5 why EG's roster can't just suck up the pay cut and continue to play on the roster?

They're saying shit like "it doesn't mean anything, etc" but it's not like EG said GTFO. Just from a neutral perspective, all of these tweets from the players appear kinda victimizing. C0M's tweet insinuates that he "deserves" whatever salary EG paid him in 2022/2023 and the pay cut is disrespectful.

dont hate me pls, just help me understand why they are all acting like this if EG is able to pay but at lower (perhaps more standard?) rate

Bc the org disrespected them and it would be difficult for players to suck up their dignity and admit they are worth less than before after having a world title.

If it was just a good team i would say suck it up you play video games for a living you can handle a lower salary, but the world champs?
