In recent days, there has been a growing sentiment within the Indian esports community. Many people were saying "five Indian players go 0-10 in matches compared to having an international roster." "GE not giving young players enough opportunities." However, the core issue in Indian esports lies in its mentality.

The so-called "experienced" pro players often refuse to put in the necessary effort to grind the game, and local organizations frequently favor "mature" talent over newcomers. Therefore, I don't believe Global Esports (GE) should be solely blamed for this situation. If I were in charge of GE, I too would prioritize experienced and mature international talent over local players, especially considering Riot Games' emphasis on competitive rosters, as mentioned in their document

Several factors which are worth noting why he can't sign young talent:

1.Players must be above the age of 18.
2.They must not be enrolled in university or college.
3.Parental issues can be a barrier.
4.And Good old Indian Passport
5.Studies often take precedence over esports.
6.Some young talents lack the experience and determination to grind the game.

For those who claim that Indian players haven't had enough opportunities, it's worth noting that Riot Games and Global Esports have provided ample chances for our players to prove themselves. One can look at China as an example of a region that has successfully developed its esports scene in just a short amount of time.

I’m fed up with people comparing India with China.

Do you know the Esports culture in China?? Or do you know the esports infrastructure that is available in China. They already have an established system. Do you even know how huge LOL was in China. Go search chinese Esports infrastructures. India doesn’t even have 1 percent of it. In the name of bootcamps we have a Flat with 4 pc in the house.

China is literally building a esports infrastructure for Valorant close to 2.5 3 billion dollars. Don’t believe me, go search it up. You can’t compare a country who have ample resources with a country who literally doesn’t even a an established system. We are dogshit because we don’t have an established system, many International orgs left India after that CS GO incident. Not many people will agree with this but we have actually started from scratch in 2021 with Valorant and it will improve with time.

But Don’t compare China with INDIA. That’s not even a fair comparison, lol.

^ this. China grew in the age of PCs while India grew in the age of Smartphones and aside from that China is significantly richer in terms of GDP per capita they can afford their own computers

Forget China! EDG owners literally gifted lands to their LOL teams. Edg alone can buy Rito and still be left with money. They’re worth more than 40 billion dollars. Same goes with Billi Billi. Chinese org owners are literally rich asf.

Well my bad for comparing them but tbf we could have better player compared to Rossi if people just start grinding the game rather than keep on relying on orgs for this and that.

People here are lazy asf bro. Why do you think Enigma owner Aryaman disbanded his Indian roster and moved to Singapore. People here likes to show off and don’t have a healthy work ethic. Plus all they care about is salaries and would literally create a drama, if its not paid to them. Also, they are just 10 12 CS go players who are just hopping amongst organizations and organizations. Young talent will never improve in this country, unless a unified and stable infrastructure is built here

Its quite sad because of what ive heard indians are some of the most hardworking people on planet. Like just look at JEE students

I wish atleast 1% of the playerbase would put this effort into esports and it actually might turn out good

That’s not even me saying it’s the majority of the org owners in India, who have said this countless number of times. They don’t invest in young talent, and that’s the hard truth. Even our youngest talent doesn’t grind the game :(

i guess what india needs right now are trailblazers(those who can show success in an area where society is skeptical about its viability). China did this by being great at League, Dota2, and other esports. India cannot just copy China's success step by step, I guess what I'm saying is if India can show great success internationally with mobile games maybe PC gaming can benefit from convincing skeptics that PC gaming can also be a job(although this esports winter is not letting up anytime soon) that people can strive for.

Do you wanna hear a funfact guys? When Enigma owner disbanded his Indian Valorant roster who couldn’t achieve jackshit in India, do you know who picked them up? Orangutan owner. The same team which went 0-4 in Ascension. They are just recycling the same 10-12 players for the past two years.
