Pros who complain about not having time to “rest” while playing videogames for a life have legit 0 iq and no nothing about how the majority of the society lives.

For example, chronicle’s recent tweet https://x.com/chronicleez/status/1694386316404797498?s=46&t=Da9ad1fdF26gsxOIuDDyYg (nothing personal against him, he’s not the only one who complains about this) saying he will have to play for 7 months straight..

Wtf is bro thinking, he’s making thousand of dollars while playing videogames and still complains? Most people itw work way harder than him, way more months per year and make WAY less money than pros, but they still complain.

Its the same with any job man, regardless of how amazing it is or seems you can get burned out especially if its all you do for 7 months.

the players are practising 10 hours per day, and it can be exhausting. 7 months include "scrims, practises, coming up with new tactics depending on the agent buff/nerf and map changes, etc" + i think the point is that Riot could have made the schedule a bit more loose. 2 international league stage, 2 masters, 1 Kick off tournament, LCQ, and champions is a lot to fit into 7 month.

EG can win the championship without a single defeat.
Here's why: among the four remaining teams, the EG team appears to be the most consistent to me. They don't give away rounds carelessly like LOUD and FNC.
Analyzing the recent picks and bans, EG has the potential to easily win 2-0 against the PRX team (my apologies to PRX fans, but I'm objectively assessing this situation).

That being said, the "lower final" is already decided, it will be PRX vs FNC/LOUD and any of these 3 teams that make it to the grand finals of the championship will be at a significant disadvantage against the EG team in a Bo5.

Yes, my friends, the North American team that almost didn't qualify for the Champions tournament today is the favorite to win it.

I'll be back here later just to say "I told you"

The players are constantly in between scrims and tournaments for at least 8-10 hours/day. It's the equivalent of someone in immo3 grinding their ass off in ranked by spamming games (but likely even more stressful). From what I heard, boaster and mimi spend like 12 hours a day coming up with strats and stuff (and they still get anti-stratted as seen against LOUD, so clearly even that isn't enough). I'm pretty sure that chronicle isn't demanding a shorter VCT season - he's just asking for a more evenly spread off-season compared to 7 straight months of tournaments followed by 5 months of off time.

Even during off-season they will be scrimming, since its the only real time they have to actually spend time and come up with innovative strats and test them out thoroughly. It's funny when people say "oh theyre just playing a game" - bro they're playing it for money and it's a real job (it's like claiming youtubers don't deserve vacations cuz oh, they're just making videos). Sure it's not a physically tiring job, but its stressful asf.

you're giving these "pro" players too much credit

How so? Practicing 12 hours a day is not tiring according to you? How about you go through pro vods for 12 hours a day for a week and make playbooks based on their strats, execute them in game, evaluate and then iterate on them? This is just copying existing strats btw, so imagine coming up with your own and doing the same process.

Would you classify a software developer who is completely WFH 8 hours a day and asking for a vacation as "giving too much credit"?

if you actually followed people in the esports scene then you'll actually know what the fuck these "pro" players do
