its kinda joever for any team in the lowers, no? fracture is a perma win, they can ban 2 of the opponent's best maps, their map pool looking really good overall, they have a vareity of split comps, they cleaned up their lotus

yeah but i was talking about the finals

even if PRX/FNC/LOUD gets there, EG map pool is very strong. esp with fracture just being a free win for them.

i am afraid prx will not ban fracture...is their haven that bad ? also EG has been sort of permabanning haven as well...hope eg bans haven and prx ban frac

alecks like saving a quirky comps for grand finals (ex: their infamous breeze comp, the ascent comp with reyna for pacific. etc)

prx's fracture isnt bad, but its not nearly as good as eg's. no team has a true "perma" at this time of the year, there is been too much off time for it to happen. but maybe alecks is more confident with fracture than haven, ill just let him cook and hope for the best.

i can def see a reyna comp, jinggg used to be on reyna on haven.

jett reyna might not work cuz something plays both, and f0rsaken flexes

they might even put jinggg on raze/phoenix, haven isnt bad for both

i just know they probably have something cooked up, it just matter of "will EG veto it first?" or "will we save it for finals?"

EG winning the upper finals is probably worst case for fnatic?

Veto will likely be:

EG ban Haven (perma ban)
EG ban Lotus

Which removes what is arguably fnatics two strongest maps from the pool.

Which leaves a map pool of PEARL/FRACTURE/ASCENT/SPLIT/BIND

EG pick fracture: EG's best map
FNC pick split: Fnc probably has the edge here. Still a strong map for eg
EG pick pearl: fnatics perma ban.
FNC pick bind: not much footage of either teams. quite unknown
Ascent left over: very close between the two teams

I could see the order of the map picked change slightly but I believe these would be the maps played.

I still think EG will ban haven, it doesn't make sense for them not too.
It's a map fnc are strong on and a map EG does not play, seems like a no brainer.

The second ban slot might change though depending on how fnatic play in the Lower Bracket.

Fnatic is the 2nd best Fracture team in the world and they've now implemented the Sova as well
Last time they played COM stopped the comeback from Fnatic with that high iq sova ult (made it 12-9 instead of 11-10 + EG broke)
Fracture would definitely not be a guarantee just like Split and Ascent -> Pearl probably goes to EG and Bind probably goes to Fnatic so even with the map veto it's gonna be a 50/50 between EG and Fnatic!

I reckon an EG fnc final would be close.
Very likely that it would go to 4 or more maps.
Pearl being in pool kinda prevents a fnc sweep.

I don't think fracture was a guarantee, It's just likely EG would pick it due to their familiarity with the map (comfort pick).

Not against Fnatic imo

Haven -> Fnatic but close
Ascent -> EG but close
Lotus -> probably still Fnatic
Bind -> probably still Fnatic
Split -> very close but Fnatic with the slight edge
Fracture -> EG's best map but Fnatic ain't far behind but probably still EG.
Pearl -> Probably EG since Fnatic permaban but they won't be able to anti-strat Fnatic at all so could be close as well.
