I don't think either of them will win berlin. I do think that Korea will do fine. But japan not so much. They still are just weak. I think they can actually beat SEA and BR if this Crazy Raccon roster move was actually really good. But I'm not sure. Now for korea. They only have a few teams that just drive the scene. Korea has strong teams. But it has a weak scene. Unless the playerbase grows. I think korea will fall off sadly.

Even as an NA homer I would agree. With an esport trying to grow its good to have competitive matches between regions. While I don’t think a win by NA or EU would be bad for the esport, I think a win by basically any other region whether it’s KR, JP, LATAM, BR, TK, CIS, etc would be a bigger win overall.

If Valorant could be a truly global Esports it only helps the health overall health of the game. I think getting the Asian part of the world and be successful is a huge win just from the sheer population. Support those smaller scenes (simply by watching) will go a long way.

yes, but the depth of other teams, such as tier 2 is a lot better in sea

I could actually see Japan be the Asian region that has the most success in Valorant. They have the fan base, and with that should hopefully bring growth of pros in the game later on. Definitely not Berlin though I agree, would be very surprised (Though happy to see).

I will say. Riot generally does well with giving smaller scenes resources to expand. Not to say they are perfect, CIS in LoL could have been handed arguably better at the game’s beginning, though it was always going to be an uphill climb against DOTA. OCE could probably be handled better in LoL, but I think OCE is just a difficult region to build a successful due to the region population and location. But if Korea at least has the big tiers teams continue to field teams, Riot will do all they can to support the region.

if sea jp wants the world to care for the scene then they need to do better in masters. kr got the world talking about them by going deep in the tourney. if sea and jp keep going out first like they did in iceland then the apparent depth of their scene doesnt really matter if their celling is that low. and br needs to get gud too, touted as one of the title contenders and failing like that lmao.

Bro sea isnt even fully included, so i think its wrong to compare the whole region when they werent even given the opportunity. Japan needs to improve tho if they want to back up the claim that they deserve 2 spots.

I disagree. LoL has china, taiwan, korea and somewhat europe. Dota has cis, europe, NA (kinda dead now), China and SEA. R6 has all the western world, tho europe is dead.

but the peaks of kr is def higher than sea or jp. VS, NU, DWG, F4Q are all better than all of asia region that ive seen. idk about india tho, skrossi seems kinda cracked but thats about it.

that's not how it works? they are different regions server-wise and they play in different leagues. They never play with each other than worlds. They have as much interaction with each other as they have with Europe and NA. so how the hell can you bunch all of asia into one?

The things riot did to support orgs in Korea for some reason kinda just failed. And Japan could be successful just because of the playerbase and how much interest orgs have in the game. Like the reason why seoldam(korean jett) plays in japan vct rather than korea is because the orgs pay more in japan. Ive said this in multiple other threads already that they kinda just deserve their spots because of player base and player interest but Idky Turkey doesn't have it's own spot. Little strange to me but eh. It doesn't really matter. And I hope I'm right that Riot just introduced OCE, MENA, and India late to the vct so they just don't have their own spot this year and they add the next year. I think that Valorant probably won't be as european dominated as CS. Hopefully all the regions succeed a little though. The one thing I hope to see in Berlin though. Is for FPX TO SHOW WHO'S BOSS.
