and theres so many peeps complaining, like when ge had shit ping since matches were elsewhere, oce having to play from thailand by self funding, etc. people also mostly just were okay with that cus covid was still very restricting

GE never had terrible ping most of the time they travelled to Sg/(Chennai 40ping) and oce team always flew to Thailand in the last two years and look at bonkers now they are now in Thai by themselves.....so ping wasn't a problem just riot is careless about T2.
prize money for acension is just 100kusd, and the prize pool for the SA split was 140k. So it's all about riot

When u have a lan event moving to play online first would be wasteful, while doing the extra play in games on lan would increase the budget a lot.

But yeah riots careless there its messy with the amount of regions involved and stupid with the price money stuff
