so misused. unless you are on a contract and earning money from the game you are not a pro. Any immortal player is on a team, and they call themselves pros when they cant make money. IF YOU ARE VISITING THIS YOU MUST BE EARNING ENOUGH MONEY INCLUDING TEAM PAY TO LIVE OFF OF IT

Technically If you win even tier 2 tournaments you make some money. So you could be considered a pro.

If you're not signed with an org you're not "pro". You just won a tournament

Not true? Pro = professional = someone who makes sufficient money from something

not nesscessarily. If you make money on a consistent basis or are always in tourneys to win money, you can call yourself a pro i guess. I would rather use amateur tho, since you aren't playing in the big leagues, with the big-name stars

EG never won any tournie yet they're "pro" cuz their org pay for them.
While old SUMN FC made lots of money but they were unsigned and not paid to play so they were not "pro"

Yes, you can. You are being paid if you are winning enough tournaments to support yourself. No idea why you seem to think otherwise when you are clearly wrong. Being a professional has abso-fucking-lutely nothing to do with being signed to an org.

You can't claim "playing for money" for your bank statement but you can write "playing for X org" for your bank statement as you're under contract of a valid institution

EG is a big org and they constantly compete in tourneys, their issue is that they have 2 hard carries and the rest aren't as good, so they barely win anything.

SUMN FC are pros, since they compete with top teams such as G2, FNC, Guild, etc. but they aren't an org, which is why ppl dont think them as pros

cant think of any professional player who makes enough to support themselves from tournament earnings alone, the only way to make gaming your profession (ie be a pro) is to be salaried by an organisation

Bad News Bears in csgo is an example. Probably not doable in todays landscape of valorant, but that does not mean my statement is incorrect

doesn't pro as in professional mean having the activity (playing valorant in this case) as ones only or main source of income?
