Skin upgrade and downgrade

I just find it so weird, that when you upgrade your weapon skin, you are forever stuck with the upgrade, and can't go back to the original way the weapon looked when you bought it. I upgraded Prime Karambit [biggest mistake of my life] and I am stuck with worse animation than the lower one. And there is no way to make a refund or put the skin back to default animation even though I texted Riot that I don't care they can keep the points for an upgrade but just put it back to default.

The other thing that is quite shocking is, that when you get a voice ban, you aren't allowed to play Ranked to disadvantage your team since you aren't able to use voice. But if you are Russian you aren't disadvantaging your teammates? Not to mention that with a voice ban you at least hear your teammates while Russian players cant even hear nor talk.

What do you guys think about these two things? Do you maybe know some info if and when you going to be able to downgrade your weapon skin etc.?

prob should be a downgrade system, even if it's not a full refund or maybe it should just be a setting like color changes.

eventhough i like the karambit's upgraded version, i do agree that you should be able to use the un upgraded version

Yeah exactly.

The reason it's that way is so when you do upgrade and regret it, you'll be spending more money on other skins, that you would like more instead; another reason to just not bother with skins at all. It has nothing to do with whether they can implement it or not, it's that way on purpose. The way the store is set up is just emotional manipulation to get you to spend as much as possible, while making you play as much as possible to keep you invested as much as possible.

At the end of the day, it's just an "idiot tax" to keep the servers running, employee costs dealt with and maximizing profits of the product. The goal is to not take the bait and just enjoy the game, or spend in a way where your emotions are not the rationale in the purchasing decision. I learned this when I was younger and spent my allowance on cosmetics within shit like Adventure Quest, Habbo etc..
