So I understand teams will have to have at least a 6th but I think some of the orgs might contract trap someone just to have a 6th rather than signing someone new since it doesn't seem like most players want to be a 6th

like ethan said, no t1 player is sane enough to join a team as a 6th man, thats like a last resort for a player, 6th man players dont end up well usually

Yea that's why I think orgs might contract trap
The first person that comes to my mind is Dapr since he has a 5 year contract with SEN, and there are better people for his spot if he decides to play in the initiator role

Or they could register a content creator. For example, 100T Hiko would be a good fit since he doesnt want to fully commit to pro-play, but it seems like he misses competition

6th mans tend to be cast off to the side since they never get play time
With no play time means no scouts can offer them to a team if they don't see their results

6man = T2/T3 teenage player

it doesnt need to be an actual player. for all riot care, the teams could just list an analyst as a 6th and just have them do their normal job anyways

Not a terrible suggestion, but they better get a good analyst if they're the authorized substitute. Since I assume this 6th man rule is the avoid stand in signings
