whats happening with G2?

they were for a while the best team in the game, like from june to january there was not better team on the scene, and the last two months they are very bad in the game...what do you guys think the problem is? is that zeek maybe? they were better with davidp

Nah other teams just caught up and got more tactical(simplified, but that's what I think in general)

They are exactly as good as they where before maybe a bit better but the rest of the teams have become alot better instead so g2 is just slacking in practices.. Its not necessary the players fault maybe the mangement is have a hard time adjusting to valorant or something.. When they get a plan on how to execute stuff they would probably become a top 3/5 team again.. But who knows i mean G2 in CS isn't doing too good either so something must change they got the firepower and money soo.

Wait for VCT stage 2 they might practice with new roster and come back to top again

it was never that g2 was good, it was that other teams were bad. The other teams got better and g2 stayed the same.

they couldn't adjust to the current meta. currently EU valorant is based mainly on strong igls and tactical play, which was never their thing.
i actually think davidp was part of the problem so it was a good decision to bench him because he was not a good igl but they have work to do still

i think it's just that G2 aren't catching up with the rest of top tier EU teams, they have talent, they just need to find their stride

When kennyS joins, they will be good again. Trust.

Honestly, I think this VCT they are gonna pop off, I think they've learned about what they were lacking after the failure of not making into Masters.

Imo they need to step up their tactical game and teams have had plenty of time to read their playstyle since it was the #1 team to look at.
Also look at the head-to-heads games vs. let's say NiP for example, you'd expect the opposite team to catch up after so many defeats.

Their firepower is one of the best if not the best and it's what has been given them many wins alongside their known flexible style.

When they improve their style making it more coordinated they'll be great again, if not, I wouldn't mind seeing changes tbf there's many good players out there and G2 can get any of them.

Another thing, G2 has spoiled us with their dominant era, that's why you shouldn't have high expectations. You can also see they've tried new and weird compositions in their pick phase but it didn't work out. I don't know

Mixwell stopped streaming for the 1st time ever. He reached #1 in EU in the meanwhile so I'm guessing they're preparing new stuff
