look at the PACIFIC league - "Chinese Taipei & Hong Kong" has been changed to "Taiwan & Hong Kong". Does this actually change the region of play for that Challengers section or it's just Riot trying to be politically correct?

edit: The VLR image was taken before the official VALORANT Esports article image was changed.
eedit 2: Chinese Taipei and Taiwan are the same place, certaiin organizations refer to Taiwan as Chinese Taipei (they're interchangable but each may have a political meaning)

ok, Google says:

"Chinese Taipei" is the term used in various international organizations and tournaments for groups representing the Republic of China, a state commonly known as Taiwan.

So Riot has simply reverted to using "Taiwan" so people can understand what region it is better
