Do you like the watch party meta?

Our esport scene is probably the only popular esport where watch parties are having way more views than the actual channel. Do you like this meta? If no, why?

English Casters are dogshit
No crowd, no hype
Atleast 4 technical pauses every game which can be 5 to 50 minutes long

That's why watchparties are more prefered unlike in CSGO

i like it! more discoverability on streaming platforms + engages more communities that streamers may have

its a great way to bring more viewership to the game as well as new players, people can also watch their favourite cc/pro to make it more enjoyable to watch, so yeah imo its good

Watch parties are in cs as well its not just Valorant and its a good thing imo. My exams got over and I'm watching every regions matches with watch parties. Definitely wouldn't have done that otherwise.

I understand why riot could maybe eventually limit them, but as a viewer I enjoy having multiple option and honestly couldnt care less what the majority choose to watch so I dont mind what the meta is

i kinda like it, but cant help but feel slightly worried as the scene is almost mostly supported by popular streamers not the scene itself, idk how to explain it properly

more engagement = better for scene. Really that simple.

bro casters are really not hype. Like i wished ik japanese or korean cause their casting is better. I only watch parties cause of that otherwise i'm forced to watch main channel.

Watch parties is more neutral, not biased, and more hype.
Always avoid main channel as much as possible, they more biased towards EU and NA compared to other region.

it really just depends on which watch party you are watching
