Anyone else think its a severe misstep for Riot to AGAIN keep pairing up teams from the same regions against each other in the playoffs? It happened in Reykjavik with Optic vs The Guard and Paper Rex vs DRX (I know not apac, but still scrim partners) and this time Fnatic vs FPX and XSET vs Optic? I've seen both these matches at least three times recently and the rivalry is already there. How much more fun is it when you have a cross region rival like Optic vs Xerxia? The only reason I can justify in my head is this way potentially keeps the most regions in the tournament longer, but I'd argue that its even more exciting and impressive to go on a run beating teams from everywhere and proving that you are a global force to be reckoned with. Copenhagen has been a blast to watch so far and I'm worried this second half is gonna be a snooze fest watching XSET vs. Optic and Fnatic vs. FPX potentially two more times each. TBH the real problem is that anyone gets to skip the first round at all. There shouldn't be teams leaving the tournament before some teams have even played a game, if they do away with that structure then we'll have much more diverse matchups just naturally. Anyway tell me if you agree or to fuck off or whatever you guys do here, I just had to rant.

Bro. NA vs NA and EMEA vs EMEA is so lame. We only get a few international events per year.
