Do you guys think Tenzinels can qualify for playoffs? I really really want them to but I'm scared that if Tenz (or sick) does not perform, they are going to lose. What do you guys think they should improve on the most?

I don't know if you're one of those cringe sen haters that say "tenz and friends and tenzinels" but sentinels have seen an improvement since stage 1 qualifier as a new roster. bdog was hard carrying his team on the first map (bind) and thats why sentinels struggled to attack dominantly as they usually do, very close match-up. I think ShahZ IGL'ing will be better the next time they verse LG (if they do). Also you gotta remember that many teams made roster changes, and you never know if Sentinels will be able to beat C9 or OPTC. Yesterday's game might have gotten into their head and they might have started to learn counter strats against next opponents. You always learn from your mistakes and That's something Sentinels has always been good at. Rawkus is doing such an amazing job (Every timeout sen threw in, they won the round= rawkus / shahzam good reads). Until then next match, we just gotta hope that they practice.

I think they should work on their strats and calling, also Shaz should work on his aim but he's on vacation and playing in a tier 10 lan tournament.

They lack coordination and execute strats. They're very dependent on someone solo winning the round over just trading but they have improved a lot on the trading part. If they lose to EG then its practically the end for them in groups unless they improve drastically and beat the best 3 in their group at the end which is also possible.

Their trades are amazing and have always been since stage 2 qualifier. But i completely agree with the fact that they lack good util usage (especially on yesterday's attack on bind) where they couldn't do anything against a good opper like bdog.

LG has been consistently performing, it isn't hard to admit they are an excellent team(better than sen). Won't be surprised if they get very close to qualifying for masters.

on some major copium there. LG showed so much pressure on their defensive side exploiting sentinel’s shit bind comp and they always had aggressive positions that sentinels would never clear.

i was actually kinda trolling, but now that u want to know ill answer seriously. i feel like sen have no destinct playstyle and that has led them to throw numbers advantages, and ultimately rounds and games. imo the igl should take it upon hisself to give them a team identity, so that everyone is on the same page as to what to do in the particular situation. i dont wanna play down LG tho. they had a great performance. neither do i want to play down sen they've shown massive improvement under rawkus so far and maybe he'll be able to fix these issues too.

I am not a SEN hater, I actually have been supporting them from the beginning. I was just going with the meme, not getting triggered. Anyway, thank you for your insight. Appreciate it!

exactly I feel like people dont give LG enough credit and thus end up underestimating SEN who put up an amazing match even in map 3. All 3 maps were super close even if fracs score doesnt show it. LG were able to constantly keep calm and take back all the rounds that looked almost lost. LG are really stepping it up this tourney and I wouldnt be surprised if they manage to beat C9 and take top 2 spot

I agree that their comp on Bind is really really bad. They have double initiator but the problem is that its super redundant, on top of that they also have double controller. They then have Tenz on the jett but i dont mind that as much cause he pops off like crazy on bind.
I also agree that LG showed a ton of pressure on both sides, they played it great. LG probably has the largest map pool right now out of all the teams in the whole group stage. So even though I think SEN didnt play it as well as they could have they couldnt have done much more with the comp they played.
Id honestly start thinking about adding a fade or KO instead of either sova or skye. Its just really difficult to stop the opponents push if you have redundant initiators that both achieve information gathering with not much stopping power at all. I think Kanpeki also would and should be more comf on the KO or honestly even put him on Chamber cause that would also add some much needed defense.

Yea if they lose to EG its probably over unless they really pull some shit out against C9 in their final match cause I dont think Faze poses a threat to anyone in this group. Theyre probably even weaker than SEN honestly in terms of strategic depth I didnt think there could be a team that had less than current form sen

I definitely think they CAN qualify. Thing is to me their mistakes are very clear and easily fixable however I dont know the internal situation and to me their Bind comp seems like a horrendous mash of too much information and too much aggression and not nearly enough exec stopping power.

It's just my opinion, I'm not good at Valorant or anything but I think everyone also has said the same. Physically (in game), they're really good. But Valorant tourney isn't about deathmatch. I feel like they need to work on strats and how to execute them. Not every call in game is perfect but at least they can improve how to make calls in game well. Look at the past games, they even lost the round in 5v2 situation. What happened there?

But still, we need to see future games and hopefully we can see some improvements.

Agreed. It is my firm conviction that Faze is a Ghost Gaming replacement. Ghost gaming performs very inconsistently (They lost to a weird t3 team on the first qualifier i believe and then completely changed up in the 2nd qualifier). That's what makes the groups so balanced, they both have 1 weak team, 1 mediocre team, and 3 insane / really good teams. Had it been that SEN lost to EG, their only chance is to qualify by beating 2 insane teams + starting playoffs in a lower bracket run.

i’m honestly fine with the double controller but i don’t think omen is the move. brimstone is much better on bind as his ultimate is significantly better than omen’s and since bind is so tight the molly is just as good as omen’s paranoia. so brimstone is the move on mind and i think sick isn’t comfortable on brimmy because they switched off of him on fracture. the double initiator is what needs to be fixed. every team nowadays runs skye and chamber/sage and idk why sentinels are so behind on the meta
