This is gonna sound crazy, but a great core 4 of korean players would be:
Zest
k1ng
Rb
stax
5th would have to be someone that plays controller, and has the right set of skills, experience, and authority to in-game lead a team. someone like glow, but glow retired :(. Not sure who would fill those shoes in. Almost reminds me of this one korean team that i was once a huge fan of.
Also, I wonder if there was a falling out between k1ng and DRX the org, but when Zest and Rb were released from the roster, i remember seeing k1ng tweeting something like 'good things will come' or something along those lines. i might be misremembering, but i got the sense that maybe there is a little resentment? Idk if k1ng chose to leave due to incompatibility issues with the new additions or if management decided to take him out of rotation, but if the latter, I personally would feel a certain way if i got benched after a small team slump due to huge meta changes, and not adapting quick enough, but still had the most undisputed dominant runs that Korean VALORANT will probably ever see.
I remember when they announced that three, no, FOUR new players were coming onto the team after glow announced his retirement, that it truly was the end of an era. They needed 1 new player to just complete the roster, but instead brought in buzz, mako, beyn (trainee), and then shortly after Lakia as well too, yeah, nothing about those announcements made me feel excited to see what the new org and squad would do.
I'm speculating here, so i could be completely full of shit since im literally just making wild assumptions so take what i say with a grain of salt, but if i had to guess, k1ng may have had a little resentment/chemistry issues with either management and/or new additions like buzz/mako. i have no idea though. All I know is that it never sat well with me when k1ng & Zest were benched, and would not be part of the starting lineup for the new org when they were both incredibly strong role players for Vision Strikers.
They were never the flashiest players, but they were consistent and reliable players both offensively and defensively, and Vision Strikers would not have had the same level of success without them. Vision Strikers literally was redefining the game on a macro level with their coordinated use of util and executions, and i think a lot of teams and regions that were sleeping on korea as a region started paying attention and started learning from them.
On a side note, the game has changed a lot since then since more agents/maps have been added, but I actually feel like the game has actually gotten more boring the more agents that have been added. There are just too many new and unavoidable ways of getting CC'd or impaired in some way making the game feel increasingly more stale and slow, and not even in the methodical way. its just slower out of necessity, and because you need to bait or wait out the enemy's util. Also, im just going to say it, but Ascent was pretty much the only good new map they made. Sunset is fine, definitely better than lotus and breeze, but I think I'm only drawn to Sunset because the B bombsite has almost the exact layout as Split's B bombsite.
Sorry for the yapping, but
TL;DR: Make Vision Strikers great again.
